Heartening to see smart young climate activists learning from our philosophy on climate rhetoric.
Responsible environmental stewardship and real solutions to climate change shouldn't be partisan issues!
Thanks @climatestrikeLE for the kind words.https://www.climatestrikeleicester.org/post/why-is-climate-activism-so-alienating …

They cited our deep-dive into climate geohistory and possible solutions by Patrick Mellor. We live in a precarious ice age that is probably already unstable. We need geoengineering methods like ocean fertilization to get the climate under control.https://palladiummag.com/2019/01/28/ancient-upheavals-show-how-to-geoengineer-a-stable-climate/ …

Also cited is
@wolftivy's interview with@PleistocenePark's Nikita Zimov, on his efforts to restore the carbon-sequestering and permafrost-protecting ice age steppe ecosystem, which would also have much higher animal productivity!https://palladiummag.com/2020/03/02/palladium-podcast-27-restoring-the-ice-age-mammoth-steppe-to-beat-climate-change/ …1 reply 1 retweet 6 likesShow this thread -
On rhetoric, we were just trying to be positive and actually answer the problem. But our forays into climate have been generating enthusiasm all across the political spectrum. Evidently it's not hard to get people enthused about real solutions stated calmly.

@climatestrikeLE has picked up on this, noting that the austerity and doom rhetoric is not only alienating, it's incorrect! If we focus instead on making climate response a constructive endeavor everyone can support, we can get the job done faster, cheaper, and with less fight.2 replies 1 retweet 11 likesShow this thread
In our version of the future, humanity works together and uses both natural and technological means to expand and create healthy ecosystems. We can build both a more productive and a more ecologically integrated human civilization, and a flourishing garden-Earth.
