That's the reason I reached out to almost every state health department yesterday and wrote this. Many states simply don't have the ability to test for coronavirus yet.

from a medical point of view, there is no benefit to the test if 1. there is no treatment and 2. a significant # of patients are asymptomatic

If you don’t test then no new cases can be reported and he won’t look stupid for saying there are only 15 people sick. Problem solved.

Florida can test at 3 state labs, Jacksonville, Tampa, and Miami with currently a 24/48 hour turn around time. New York State should be able to test also. Agreed we need more testing and will find more cases through that testing.

Even if test kits were available, how many people are going to subject themselves to a test that might cost them $3000. Our health care system, in a crisis like this, is so inadequate!

Well, in Europe it’s free and we cooperate. US should try it sometime!
