hi, hello, here you'll find a thread of my top five serbian songs (serbia, as an autonomous country, has been participating in the song contest since 2007; before then, it had been grouped under the Yugoslavian banner before the country broke up in the '90s.)

All these articles about millennial home-owners where the publications think the message is “if they can do it, so can you!” but when you read it, you realize these people have money because of their families (lived at home, parents “helped,” or parents got them lucrative jobs)

Girls, the world will try to police what you wear and what you read and how you think but it isn’t your job to please everyone. You are not a lump of clay to be molded in someone else’s image. Resisting the pressure to let others define you is an act of true courage.

I take no pleasure in Rush Limbaugh's diagnosis like he did with mocking Michael J. Fox or Ruth Bader Ginsberg in theirs-I will just say, it's a good reminder about how important clean living is.

I remember when Rush Limbaugh, laughed & joked about Eric Garner not being able to breathe. Rush ridiculed & mocked Michael J. Fox, for having Parkinson’s and laughed about Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s cancer. Maybe now Rush will feel and show empathy for others! At least I hope so!

  12. ...i get that it was a "filler" show so maybe not as much research went into it as a "regular" show so i shouldn't expect too much from it

  13. usually, i love geography now!'s videos, but the one on Eurovision spent waaaaay too much on making fun of it, and less on showing that it can be a serious show too, with a lot of hidden gems of beautiful european music

I am not Jewish. I’m an ok Xtian, and a really terrible Catholic. This thread is....deeply compelling, and even if you read it with *only* the secular lens, it’s a truly worthwhile read. Thank you,

VAMPYR (1932) is a horror fable full of camera & editing tricks; DAY OF WRATH (1943) is an intense tale of social repression; ORDET (1955) is a shattering look at a family’s inner religious world; and GERTRUD (1964) is a portrait of an independent woman’s struggle for salvation.

Danish master Carl Theodor Dreyer, the creator of perhaps cinema’s most purely spiritual works, was born on this day in 1889. One of the most influential artists of all time, his spare & innovative approach echos in the films of Bergman, Bresson, Tarkovsky, and countless others.
