My @TeamYouTube creator studio says people are spending more time watching my videos than ever before, and yet my earnings have gone down drastically - anyone else noticing this?

I suggest you look at your analytics. You will gain a better understanding of how the ad rate floats, and can even look at that in terms of which countries are watching and generating ad revenue on each video. Go to the Analytics and go to the 'Ad Rate' option.

It will also break down your ads by type (skippable, display, bumper, etc). Let you know the impressions, and what your CPM is approximately.
