Thanks Madhu for bringing diverse global voices to begin a conversation that has never been as necessary as it is now. If the #Covid19 pandemic doesn't change how we practice global health, what will?

LMIC political will, where countries come together as a collective to look after their priorities, working in partnership with @WHO offices, & free on overseas, especially HIC interference. A new Non Aligned Movement in international affairs, development & health is badly needed.

OECD Aid is only 140 billion $ PY.This has been ⬇️even before Covid19. Don’t put all your eggs in Aid basket. Covid19 has created problem but it also provide enormous possibilities for putting things right. Most important, poorer countries must take their destiny in own hands.

I agree with your sentiment. But, sadly, these approaches are not dead, & people/organisations will continue to try to impose from the top. Alliances will need to form & fight for the important reforms you refer to. Local sustainability & needs are key.
