I mean, pandemics have happened in the past. I’m open to the possibility that another one may happen within my lifetime. If so, I’ll try not to commit crimes so I’m not in lockup when that happens.

but you're aware of the 8th amendment, it protects us from cruel and unusual punishment, the prisons are liable for the health of the prisoners.

I’d compare statistics with a true police state, like North Korea or Germany, then draw conclusions. I’ll dig out some numbers.

I realized half way through the article that everyone is the same race in Finland. This may be one of the reasons they trust police more for example.
