I’d say it’s self-serving appropriation. White privileged women taking on an issue that’s NOT THEIRS and using it to tell men to “stop whining” about an actual problem that exists. #i2
Yes. It’s reasons. If someone told me my chance for cancer and HIV would decrease with a small surgery and minimal long term effect,

I would consider it.

Would you seriously consider it for your daughters? Let’s apply the logic here. Penile cancer affects 1 in 100,000 men. Vulvar cancer affects 1 in 400 women or so. Radical vulvectomy prevents cancer AND you can still enjoy sex. Ready to cut your daughters?
#i2 -
If I researched it and spoke to doctors I aid consider it

There's no medical necessity for circumcision. Phimosis can be corrected without surgical procedures. Infections can be prevented with proper cleaning practices. There is no medical reason to circumcise any infant, and there is definitely no moral defense for it.
-
Omg please stop tagging me. I’ve never said I’m for corcumcision. All I’ve said is don’t shut down a convo on FGM to talk about it
-
1) I didn't "tag you", I replied. Twitter has a "mute conversation" function that is available to all users. 2) FGM and MGM are morally equivalent; it is completely reasonable to discuss gross abrogation of bodily autonomy, as it concerns ANY infant, in a single conversation.
