  5. If anything, the term "witch hunt" emphasises the innocence of those persecuted as witches, because it implies wrongful and unjust accusations. You may disagree that something described as a "witch hunt" truly is so, but trying to stop people from using the term is illiberal.

  6. I may not agree with Rudy Giuliani on many things, but I do agree that there's no reason to be offended by the term "." It's a very common expression with a long history, never intended to be derogatory to witches. It isn't helpful at all to try and police language.
