    I went to see this exhibition in May. Dan, Lucy and their friends did something amazing during lockdown and the exhibition to share it has now gone. There are some books left if you’re able to support at all.

    Lucy & I put on an exhibition near Trafalgar Square, of photos taken by 6 homeless friends (1 sadly deceased, it was also in her memory). Profit went to the homeless photographers. Sadly, during the football, the area was broken into and the exhibition smashed to pieces.

    You don’t get to stoke the fire at the beginning of the tournament by labelling our anti-racism message as ‘Gesture Politics’ & then pretend to be disgusted when the very thing we’re campaigning against, happens.

    I am disgusted that players who have given so much for our country this summer have been subject to vile racist abuse on social media. It has no place in our country and I back the police to hold those responsible accountable.

    I'm not perfect. I just try my best to support anyone at Aira (and those that have left) the best I can. And to not be a dick < turns out, this helps a lot. If I can do that, my small contribution to the culture means that the rest of it is more likely to take care of itself.

    Culture is about what happens when you're not around and the standards that you set when you are. If I had to describe the behaviour and standard that I want Aira to have as a company, it's: "we'll always have your back." So that's the one that I try to demonstrate the most.

    Instead, it supports them if it does happen and works hard to stop it from happening again. Culture isn't about perks, sending gifts, unlimited holidays etc, but they should *support* your culture and not be at odds with it.

    We're a busy agency that hires smart, ambitious people who want to progress. One consequence is that sometimes, they will work too hard and burnout. A good culture doesn't pretend this doesn't happen or say "we're not for everyone".

    That's true, not every company will suit everyone. However, it's also used as an excuse for low standards and not facing up to problems around culture such as burnout, overworking and a lack of support.
