Remembering today, on the 25 anniversary of the massacre, those who were killed at Srebrenica. Many have worked tirelessly to ensure their memory is not forgotten, and that the lessons from the past are not repeated.

  10. Having snoozed contentedly over the weekend while their poor orphan leader has been out trying to win support for the insupportable, watch what happens next as May’s Cabinet of revivifying vipers ,snuff the air and slither off in search of advantage for the next stage

  11. We see clearly now who the ERG playgroup really are. Bad judgement, poor timing, over-grown egos, fantasy politics, prep-school tactics - they are less a political movement - more a Beano comic strip about Lord Snooty's little rag-tag gang throwing ink-balls at the headmistress.

  12. This Brexit shambles exposes how far the Conservatives Party has degenerated. For all her faults, Mrs May remains the only adult in the room. At the top, the rest are just a bunch of self obsessed pygmies, charlatans and incompetents who should not be allowed to run a whelk stall

  13. With Raab gone May becomes a gonner. With May gone the Tories will not be able to find anyone to unite behind. And so the great unravelling begins. If you want a playbook for what next, look to the Tory civil wars of the Corn Laws in 1846

  14. Please note carefully I am NOT saying Pres Trump is a fascist. He is not. But he’s using the same techniques as they used in the 1930s. First divide. Then identify the enemy. Then lie about them. Then denigrate them. Then mobilise against them. So frightening it still works

  15. I have been so moved by all the lovely comments here. But PLEASE this does not merit a fuss. Many go through this. The NHS guys in Yeovil Hosp. are BRILLIANT. I have the best of people and the best of friends to fight this with, which makes me, as so often in my life, very lucky

  18. Distracted by the present Brexit farce? Remember 1.The EU always does deals at the final hour - or after 2. Last moment drama strengthens the PM's hand to ram this through at the end. 3. Its still most likely a deal will be done - because not doing one would be just too horrid.

  19. GRU incompetence. My new book, Nein! reveals that the GRU run, Geneva based Dora spy ring, which they claim was the greatest spy ring of WWII and one of the greatest in intelligence history, was in fact run by MI6 and Swiss intelligence!
