I added a new deformation mode to the Cloth Brush that changes dynamically the original dimensions of the cloth during the simulation. This way you can create the effect of stitching a large piece of cloth to a smaller one by using the sculpt mask.

The Cloth Brush has an alternative plane falloff mode which drags cloth from an entire cross-section of the model at the same time. This results in a more intuitive way of manipulating cloth compared to the standard radial falloff sculpt brushes have.

You can use the Cloth Brush directly on meshes with millions of vertices by tweaking the simulation's limits and falloff. The solver ignores everything outside the limits and the cloth will automatically change its elasticity in the falloff area to avoid artifacts.

When using the Cloth Brush masked vertices are pinned in the simulation. You can use the sculpt mask to control the wrinkles and the tension of the cloth.

I fixed a lot of artifacts and implemented a stabilizer in the Clay Thumb brush. Now it should also work fine when using devices without pressure sensitivity, like a mouse of a touch screen.

Sculpt Snapshots are not linked to a specific mesh. You can use any mesh datablock as a snapshot to sculpt an object into a different one.

Sculpt Snapshots This experimental feature lets you store multiple versions of the mesh and go back to them using a brush or a mesh filter. Snapshots are not linked to the mesh topology, so it works after remeshing.

Painting time lapse. All sculpt mode tools work while painting, so you can use the sculpt mask for creating and editing selections or the topology slide/relax brush as a liquify tool .

This is a test I made while coding the new vertex colors paint brush. It was painted in sculpt mode on a subdivided plane with 4.2M vertices (2K resolution canvas) using only the new default brush.

The new vertex colors in sculpt mode now have alpha and eraser tools. You can sculpt and paint on semitransparent objects, with rendering support in Workbench and EEVEE.
