Classic Democrats. Blame themselves for the outcome of Russian hacking (trump) when our candidate Hillary (under heavy, decades long, negative propaganda, mind you!) WON THE POPULAR VOTE! Trump's word: Victory. Reality: failure of the Electoral College to do it's job.
-
This. They *always* let the other side form & control the narrative all the way through. If I was a Rep Id be sitting around w my colleagues taking bets like “bet you cant get them to say/admit THIS!” & just wait around to collect. They will repeat it, everytime, as if its valid.
-
Yep! Classic. It's like a version of "Catholic Guilt" for Dems. The constant mea culpa as directed by Repugs. Dems have to stop falling for it!

And yet we still have fools saying a woman can’t win. Of course a woman can win, and wouldn’t that be the perfect end to this national nightmare? I think it would.
-
we need to re-shape the way we elect our leaders. Right now we don't choose the best leader, we watch a football game and crown a winner. That doesn't give us the best leaders and many great leaders won't run in such a bloodbath.

Here's an idea for you
@NPR. Why don't you start doing stories on the millions of Americans who are more than ready for all of the above. Stop highlighting sexism/racism as the norm, it's not. This is like just seeking out the Americans who aren't ready for indoor plumbing. -
Everyone who voted for Trump voted for his racism & sexism, or did not see it as disqualifying. To say that hate isn’t the norm, is to ignore how prevalent and how big of a threat it is. You can be optimistic about love & empathy without downplaying the miasma in front of you.

What is going on with the Democratic party and why are they relying on advisers who haven't gotten anything right in 30 years???
-
This is media pushing this narrative to stir up controversy. This is the same crap they did with “ her emails” last time. Democrats have to ignore the noise and vote.

Everyone forgets that Obama won 2008 in a landslide while losing the white vote by almost 20 points. Why the continued focus on white men - the least important or “get-able” part of the Democratic coalition - is beyond me.
-
Because the white male demographic has money which is seen as more important than organizing.
-
and white males still dominate the power structure and have outsize influence in setting "conventional wisdom." but just look at the actual voter breakdown of past elections and it makes no sense (or, it only makes sense if your focus is entirely on converting reliable GOP votes)
-
That makes sense if your goal is to win elections, but each member of the party leadership has won reelection multiple times by out-advertising and biases for a strategy that gets them reelected and lets them say that they flipped a few seats "for the good of the party."
-
The GOP is quite radical and the Dems are super conservative when it comes to national strategy.
