it's not confusion. Corbyn lied this evening. McDonnell lied earlier today. They must go.

Clearly it is. We have to invoke article 50 now, as in we didn't before. In the interview, there's no implication of immediacy.
-
he said 'Article 50 must be invoked now.' Why say that if he didn't mean it?
-
He did, but there's multiple ways to use "now". It's like saying "we have to leave the EU now"...that we've voted to leave.
-
there are multiple meanings. But he meant "immediately" not "consequently". Watch full interview; Dimbleby clarifies

He then says there must be a strategy and there must be a negotiation to get the best deal possible. That takes time.
-
No, he agreed there must be a negotiation, but terms of article 50 allow for 2 years' negotiation once it's triggerd

Not confusion. A lie.
-
Nope. "We have to invoke article 50 now"...that we have voted to leave. There's no implication of immediacy in his use of now.
-
That is categorically not what he said. After now he says 'so that we can negotiate an exit from the EU'.
-
So? That's what article 50 does. Even with your quote added, there's no implication of immediacy.
-
You can try and shamelessly claim that 'now' does not mean 'now' but please don't expect to be taken seriously.
-
You mean by people who want to see the worst in him? Or are you unaware it has multiple uses? http://reallifeglobal.com/how-to-use-now-when-speaking-english/ …

Be honest. Is there no part of you that *wants* to believe he meant "immediately", so you can get to call him a liar?

There's no contradiction there. Article 50 does have to be invoked now, whereas it didn't before. Two kinds of now.
-
can listen to full interview (link above). Dimbleby clarified, why "now" not in future? JC meant NOW, now lying.

Appears that you are confusing the words 'now' and 'immediately'. Also the result was out, agree or not

Why is he not fighting against it? He'll need a strong economy to implement his policies. You can't with Bexit
-
You want him to fight against the result of a democratic vote? erm, that's not how democracy works...
-
It is if the people don't know what they voted for. There should be a 2nd ref after the Brexit deal
-
then no result ever would stand. I voted what I took as Labour in 1997 - can I have a re-vote then?
-
Labour 97 still better than Tories 97. The voters were badly lied to and that's not democracy either
-
the voters are usually lied too; both sides lied about brexit. Re 97, at least I expect to get shafted by tories...
-
Did you vote Brexit?
