@mjtsai The counter to this: look at the sheer amount of horrendously slow code we produce today b/c people don't understand the mechanics.

@mjtsai the problem today isn't the mechanics, it's that we are still fundamentally using primitive tools in key areas, like debugging. -
@mjtsai we have very little tools that can help diagnose the problem, so we invent other solutions to try and circumvent them, e.g. GC, ARC. -
@mjtsai and then we beat out chest and say, "THIS IS THE BEST WAY!". All the while CPUs are getting faster while code is getting slower.
