Candidates are required to be experienced in receiving Code of Conduct violation reports and following up with reported people. This experience could come from enforcing a Code of Conduct at an event or in an online space. Must have good English speaking and writing skills.

Finally, you shouldn't have just one person on your Code of Conduct committee because of bias. One person cannot understand and represent the diversity you want to see in your community. Having multiple committee members is key to protecting the safety of marginalized groups.

This is especially true of online communities, where a leader or maintainer is the only Code of Conduct contact. What if another leader or someone they work closely with is reported? It's a conflict of interest, and having multiple trained committee members is key.
