(I told a fellow dev I was taking a break bc I was spending time with my mom who was only visiting from another country and they actually responded with, “why can’t you just do a videocall?”

Games are insanely hard to make, no matter how simple, and 9/10 ‘devs are lazy’ is never the reason why a project ends up flawed/underwhelming. It’s bonkers anything ships playable ever.
