A lot of the base housing in Okinawa— managed/run by the military, not private companies—is full of mold and radon and bugs, too, as well as non-working fire alarms and other problems. And most people aren’t given the option to live off base.

Thank you for doing this. 1/2 the housing at Ft Campbell had black mold and brown recluse infestations. I have a friend at Ft Rucker whose toilet backed up into the bathtub and the whole backyard is unusable (in an “ADA-compliant” house). Investigate military housing contractors.
