My sister, Dr Niamh Collins, was interviewed on RTÉ News at One today. ‘Emergency departments are a place of safety.’ Victims of domestic violence don’t need to be presenting with an injury or illness to attend. ‘If you feel unsafe, come and we will support you’. Worth sharing.

Proud of my sister, Niamh. 👩🏼‍⚕️This is an important, landmark case in recognising and combating coercive control.

Didn't know how thirsty I was for a book like this. Gulping it down. Three female friends in their seventies feeling oh so FRESH. And then my joy to find Charlotte Wood in conversation with on . Glorious stuff! I’ve already cast the movie in my head.

It’s ! by is a beautiful evocation of hungry little boy’s Sunday lunch at his granny’s house. As warm and comforting as the peach cobbler on the page, this story brims with the unbuttoned love and kindness the world needs right now.

And Dubliners, if you get the chance, absolutely check out the standout, Alan Moloney’s Windmill Lane - a fascinating look at the Dublin our parents met in and a great story about challenging a stifled Irish national identity. And the music’s alright too. ☘️
