Not to mention not letting site authors see the "edit" function from the front page or archive pages, @organicthemes. Not perfect UI.

@organicthemes That would be awesome. And yes, just found the "edit" in the admin bar. Now I feel silly. Only been using WP for eight years!
@scalzi Haha, http://WordPress.com sometimes updates their UI, so it may have just changed locations on you ;)
