100K? How is any new creator supposed to reach that absurd amount? I can’t even get 1,000 despite making 1,200+ videos over the course of nearly three years. YouTube is broken. Plain and simple. Make it easier for people to distinguish themselves already.

Hey, I recently hit 100k. It is actually a thing that you can accomplish, but honestly, and please don't take offense, you're uploading 20-30 minute gameplay videos. That's cool and all, but if you've done this 1,200+ times in 3 years, maybe the problem isn't them. :X

What's so wrong with the length? I've never understood this argument. If you can't watch it in full, come back to where you left off. I tried 20 minute sessions and they felt completely off. Plus I tried editing them down and I got serious flak from my subs for that.

Well, for starters longer length is good if you viewer retention is backing it up. However, if you upload say 30 minutes and people drop off at the 2-3 or 5-6 minute mark, the rest of that video goes unwatched and overall harms your channel.

So I'm supposed to start a recording, get five minutes into it then shut it off? I don't see how that'll help either to be honest.

I didn't say that, 10-15 minutes will do nicely and also help your channel out in the long run with the algorithm. You can record for a few hours and then chop it up into segments.

The thing is I took down everything with the intent of chopping it up awhile back. All my subs at the time blasted me for doing that saying it was completely not necessary. I also feel it might come off as lazy to do such short videos making it look like quantity over quality.

Quality is subjective, if I were to be blunt with you - I wouldn't watch your content. I don't mean to offend, I'm legit trying to give you honest advice that I would've killed for years ago. You do have some things to do that could help you, but it's up to you my dude.

I'm just trying to come off as genuine. If I fell off my chair during a weak jumpscare than that would look fake as hell. I want to stay true to myself is all. Maybe I should just give up at this point...
