Neither does a normal foreskin.

Nope, circumcised boys have lower rates of infection. Here’s a study. https://adc.bmj.com/content/90/8/853 …. Here’s another: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1477524/ …

Did you even read that article? It says there is a 1% risk of a UTI in an intact male and that circumcising him creates a 2% risk hemorrhaging and infection, which completely defeats the purpose. More importantly, neither of those studies controlled for iatrogenic UTIs.

It completely proves my point. Yes, it is medically necessary (not as a preventative) to circumcise boys with a high risk of recurring infection.

No, it completely undermines your point by causing infection at twice the rate.

I don’t want routine circumcision. I want it done for medical reasons. That means less circumcision, smaller percentage of infections. I’m disagreeing with someone else who wanted a blanket ban and some other people’s minor points.

0.006% That's how often it's needed for medical reasons

That’s quite a lot of people still. That’s 42 million if you’re going off world population. Not worth a blanket ban.

Now contrast it with the 100% harm rate of cutting everyone else.

Dude, it’s not 100% anywhere, it’s an optional surgery, educate the parents and they won’t do it, don’t ban the surgery.

It's 100% harmful every time. Every circumcision results in permanent tissue loss.
