I much prefer the book to the film tbh. And it is one of my favourites too. Though I think my fav is The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldrich. I love the conversations you can get into online with other PKD fans. His books bring up so many questions & ideas.

I think film was good, no doubt, but it was different. Only similarities are names. Book shows desperation and emptiness and sadness of situation way more than film ever did. I just literally started on this one! Looking forward this weekend to sit down and read it properly!

Its some sense of desperation; dying world, emptiness. Gain for only to be lost, loss of touch with situation and reality. So many themes in it hit me hard when I was younger.
