My career path... It's been all over the place I guess, and not too interesting until now. I never went to a school for art. This poverty baby couldn't do that. I've mostly lived off of basic commissions before now, and had lots of art friends to keep me going and believing.

I had a call center job when people believed in me the least, and I've moved from place to place, been broke longer than I should've been, and even been homeless. But I never stopped drawing and only got better at it with time. Lots of time.

I haven't really had any goals or expectations other than "make something impressive" and "get a project of my own made some day." But people who really liked what I did saw me doing nothing significant I guess and basically scooped me up. I mean, I was pretty available for it.

Some of the projects I've been on, I didn't even think I could do. I took a shot at them after being asked, just to see if I could, and I ended up being chosen. I've had a lot of support, but also a lot of discouragement about my career choice.

So I wasn't very confident at all and didn't think I was all that great. But instead of sulking, I'd push myself with whatever I made to try and prove myself wrong. And I still do this, even with my confidence growing.

It took me MANY years of making art to get this far. And I have struggled A LOT. So I've stopped thinking of myself as "lucky" for what I have now. I was very patient and honest and eventually things turned out well for me. If I don't succeed, I try again.

You can't go into things expecting immediate success. There are no shortcuts. Don't go looking for 'em, and don't use other people to get them either. Art takes lots of time, effort, and dedication. If you want to excel at it, then keep going and don't give up.

I would agree with all these words and add that this applies to everything in life imo! I absolutely love your art and I am inspired by your hard work and dedication!
