I never wear lipstick because I feel I look bad in it. 
I must be doing something wrong! Any tips for picking out shades or decent brands?

I choose the shade based on makeup. If accent on eyes - soft matte colours. If eyes minimal - bright red. Took me a while to find balance :(
Since my skin is quite pale I tend to pick up lipstick with some pink shades/red shades, they do well unlike earthy/dark
