I've seen other streamers using the app on their PC to capture. Now, I know it might be a bit damaging, but should be safe
Thinking of switching to DSLR camera setup since it looks so good on those streams I've seen. Now just to figure out costs...

since its the battery heat that kills the lens constantly. switching to power supply doesnt produce as much heat and lens doesnt get fucked

I tried mine but I'm lacking the technical knowledge to make it work. When I have the money and patience I'll pick the idea up again

You don't necessarily need to use a dslr, there are some decent compact systems that are easier to setup/power and just as good.
