Between unsolicited (and mostly ugly) dick pics, rude DMs from random viewers about their weird sexual fantasies or how they want to rape me, to subs/donations and demands to send them nudes in exchange for that I became very cautious with many things, especially on events.
Nowadays that I have tough skin and call these shitlords out, but there was a time when I didn’t have a voice. I went through an abusive relationship once; I got some horrifying DMs while streaming that made me have to put BRB screen on and step away in anxiety. This has to stop
On any event I go to I always look out for my fellow girls that I know who are attending, and always tell them that I’ll come and pick them up and take them away if they feel in danger. I feel like its my duty. Please look out for each other and call out those shitlords.
It is! Just everything that’s been said recently recalled a memory of some stuff people said to me. I was lucky, it never went further than words but words were enough to make me alert and never go alone again.
I'm horrified that any of this has happened to you or any other streamer. This kind of behavior needs to stop and be eradicated. It's never okay to treat another human being like this, or feel entitled to have the right to do so.
It makes me sad to know that this is needed in this world.
