By the time I was in a school it was just over 10 years since the tragedy. We had Hazard Awareness classes, and every year several classes were about Chernobyl. Video material shown, effects of radiation on body shown, and no real plan to surtvive it given. Just hope for best.

When you're 13 all of that is a bit too much. We were trained and programmed to fear this. The sirens in the trailer are same sirens I've heard twice in my city during system test.

Despite some inaccuracies I appreciate the dread and horror shown in the series. We shouldn't forget those sacrifices and make sure that this never happens again. If you haven't seen it yet, do watch it but beware that it's quite a heavy series to watch.
