      He was super anxious but not vicious in any way. We had some cuddles and noticed he'd been stray for a while. His fur was matted in places, his claws needed cutting and he was pretty filthy. So, we gave him a bath, many cuddles, and some food and now we have lots of tail wags❤️pic.twitter.com/0RhuipQHBu

      None the less we need to find his owners but Geoff (his placeholder name) wasn't wearing a collar when we found him so we went to the vet to look for a microchip. He seems to be a loved dog because he's house trained, great temperament and knows all basic doggo commands.

      They found a chip. Turns out he's 2years old (we guessed 4), called Corky (so Geoff was waaay off) and from Reading which is 1.5hr from us! We called both numbers registered to his chip but no answer, we also sent an email, and we're waiting to hear back from the vet.

      I've checked lots of missing dog sites both in Reading and local to me and can't find anything. If we don't hear anything from the vet by tomorrow we will have to inform the Council but I really don't want to put him in a kennel😭

      Not sure how it all works. We can't adopt another dog right now. Our flat isn't big enough and the costs when we travel for dog boarding and care would be too high but we'd happily foster him while we look for his existing/new forever home, if we're allowed.

      Hopefully, Corky is reunited with his orginal owners soon who are wanting to find him too! For now, Corky is enjoying lots of cuddles, nice walks, much playtime and good some @lilyskitchen food plus he is allowed to sleep on the bed😂pic.twitter.com/s5p8VcXXzL
