i used to have dreams of “making it on Twitch”. nowadays i can’t even imagine why /anyone/ would want that. you’ve got to be prepared to give up everything. to invest every minute of your time. if you’re not ahead, you’re behind.

it’s a very mentally draining JOB, but a great HOBBY. i find myself wanting to stream less, but wanting to hang out with my community all the same. that’s the least tainted thing about Twitch. communities where people talk to each other, and play together.

i guess i didn’t “make it” in the end, and i’m happier for it. i’ve built an amazing community that i will continue to nurture, and i’ve got a stable job waiting for me right around the corner. my hardworking fellow streamers: don’t hurt yourself chasing this dream, yeah?

You’ve made it. You created a wonderful community and made so many friends, met your beloved one and having a time of your life. This is the success. Not money or fame - your life experience is a success
