My relatives: so we see you got a cat instead of a child. Why? Me: I dont want them yet and I want to be ready Them: you either want it or no. Dont apply logic to it, there’s no logic in getting a child. You must get one soon, you’re getting old Me:pic.twitter.com/lrhMFKZ09B

I love them but they drive me nuts. Its so vowen into their upbringing they know better and I must listen its insane. Also “no need logic in getting a child” exactly why half of my generation is depressed and has no support (back where I am from). No brain no problem?

Moving to UK elevated so much of social pressure I finally can be myself. Back home I was called a failure because instead of getting children, learning to cook 5 course meal and living to make man happy I chose career. My dad is the only one who supports me and its hard :(

Relatable. I pretty much put a stop to all convos about this, it's my life and my business. But here in London I have so many great friends who GET IT and don't ever feel the need to question my life choices, and what I choose to prioritise.

Ah Cat I love you so much
it's because I'm surrounded by wonderful, strong ladies like you here, I feel less pressure to please society and be myself. My eyes have opened to so much in last 2 years I'd rather die than go back :/1 reply 0 retweets 1 like -
