My relatives: so we see you got a cat instead of a child. Why? Me: I dont want them yet and I want to be ready Them: you either want it or no. Dont apply logic to it, there’s no logic in getting a child. You must get one soon, you’re getting old Me:pic.twitter.com/lrhMFKZ09B

Moving to UK elevated so much of social pressure I finally can be myself. Back home I was called a failure because instead of getting children, learning to cook 5 course meal and living to make man happy I chose career. My dad is the only one who supports me and its hard :(

Terrible fertility issues with my maternal side so have managed to avoid for now - but absolutely agree that to have a child if you can’t support them or aren’t ready is asking for trouble. Also you can adopt if you get too old for babies!

Yeah, thats another thing. Bluntly asking this and what if the person can't have a baby and it's harsh topic to them? Plus I brought same topic about adoption - if I want one and can't have one, I always can adopt someone and make them happy.

Have also had this over the years after both getting a cat and getting married. "Now it's time for babies!" Responding that we just want to enjoy time with ourselves first does not compute with the relatives...

That's why I like looking after my goddaughter, starts being a pain? Just hand her back and run away
