Smart home aficionados, looking to control a lamp. On/Off is enough as the bulb I have is fine but is it still better to get a smart bulb or perhaps get a smart plug and link that to my Echo dot? So far bulbs seem cheaper but not sure about other benefits.
we have hue lights connected to app on phone and google home (used to have alexa). good control over whole house/separate room, plus hue can adjust automatically with sunset. I personally like this combo if i read in bed and don't want to get up to turn lights off.
