Utterly disappointed and gutted by how hard it is to rehome a cat in UK. We have wonderful garden that leads to big field, but one place denied us because we have a road leading to our place, and other 2 didnt even answer
And then they wonder why people buy pets :(
I've been told I'd never be given outdoor cat, only indoor one :( I've been waiting for almost 3 years to have a garden to let kittens have full life of having access to outside and fresh air but someone out there without even coming to our place to see it said no.

Definitely ask charities to do the home check first, before applying! And do try branches from different areas. Sometimes all it takes is one know-it-all volunteer to make it look like your chances are wrecked, when in fact they're not.

Also, apparently it's kitten season coming up for a lot of adoption places (was told this by volunteer). You can get a kitten and say it's indoor only, as it'll have never known any different. What you then choose to do as the kitten gets older is up to you at that point.

it's really fucked up tho that you havew to go to such lengths to just save some kittens life. It almost feels counterproductive :( I might message them today demanding inspection as they didn't even bother looking at where we live
