Here's an anti-antifa "poem" published in the magazine of the Boston police union. August 19 was the day tens of thousands marched to oppose Nazis on the Boston Common.pic.twitter.com/RWu3mtjzQz

If you want a sense of the political leanings of the Boston Police Department, check out its union's magazine publications. They have this weird obsession with the idea that liberals and leftists all live in Cambridge and Newton. That's...not true.

It should not come as a surprise that the Boston police union publication is EXTREMELY upset about kneeling football players.

Here's how the Boston police union magazine described the fascists who descended on Boston on August 19. Contrast that to the description of the counter-protesters.pic.twitter.com/unyLJfjYZG

The BPD union seems to think that the only real Bostonians are right wingers, but that's demonstrably false. Like it or not, these police work for a bunch of liberals. Sorry dudes.

The Boston police union that said all of these horrible and racist things has also now begun attacking the soon to be elected reformer DA, Rachael Rollins.http://www.bostonherald.com/news/local_politics/2018/09/candidates_decline_to_prosecute_list_alarms_cops …

People have been tweeting this thread again because of the BPD’s attacks on antifascist demonstrators. I checked in with the Boston Police union magazine to see if it continued printing racist garbage after getting publicly called out here and elsewhere.

The editors refer to the controversy surrounding the bigoted and fashy comments in various parts of the most recent edition of the newsletter, though never directly. https://www.bppa.org/wp-content/uploads/pax-centurion/2019/spring/60/ …

The editors say they’ve made some “editorial” changes in light of the controversy. But it apparently is too hard for them to resist revealing themselves. Exhibit A: a write up of the vandalization of a police memorial.pic.twitter.com/MmsnqwjxaN
