Why don’t we have a movie about how Medicare and Medicaid passed? It would be really good!

We owe a huge debt of gratitude to and the team. We'd be flying much blinder during this pandemic if not for them. We have benefited from their data and will continue tracking everything we can.

Second, we need to bring the vaccine to the people. It’s not enough to locate vaccination sites in Black communities, but we need trusted points of access run by credible & trustworthy community-based organizations & for these vaccinate sites to be reserved for residents only.

Posted quick R program that analyzes 2019 SCF data to examine forgiveness of student loans to respondents+their spouses. Not ready for prime-time policy work given weighting+other issues. Does allow interesting policy simulations. Feel free to use/modify.

the thing about republicans complaining about dems not doing bipartisanship is that coming back with an offer at ~30% of the dem plan is also not a real attempt at bipartisanship

The gender differential in seminars is readily apparent— women face a more hostile environment than men. We already know they’re treated differently in publications. This interesting descriptive project raises serious questions about the knowledge production process in economics.
