If you plan to upgrade to #Ubuntu 17.10 later this month, will you use the Xorg/X11 session or the default #Wayland session?

Upgraded to 17.10 two days ago and wayland works perfectly so far with my laptop and an ultra-wide secondary monitor connected!.

I'm surprised #Wayland got more votes. Although it feels smoother, I occasional get bugs on some applications I use.

I'm not too surprised as Ubuntu 17.10 will be a lot of people's first experience of Wayland, so they're more likely to be planning to try it

I know wayland is still on beta but i think that should be as default, if not then no one will use it and with no use no feedback

Wayland where I can, Xorg where I must (nVidia). But lots broken in Xorg now if using HiDPI. Almost like they don't want us using it.

Gnome/Wayland on nvidia-387 on Ubuntu 17.10 actually works if you enable modeset. But a couple of random crashes sent me back to Xorg for now

Not sure what’s at fault though so worth a try as otherwise seemed flawless. Modeset is the only config change so easy to revert.
