    America, and most of its institutions, still hasn't figured out Trump is becoming authoritarian and is a threat to democracy. They still don't get it. "Both sides", it'll all be ok, Republicans will temper him, don't worry, it's good business, good ratings...until it's not.

    We are in a crisis of legitimacy when millions of people are questioning whether our democracy actually represents them. We need leaders who can reform our institutions and root out corruption, while building trust in government and democracy. That’s the way.

    EU standards are internationally recognized gold standards which UK voted for and upheld for decades. What's changed our mind these considerations no longer prevail.

    This is similar to the GDPR. Google and Facebook found that it'd be cheaper to apply EU standards worldwide than it would be to offer different interfaces to EU/EEA countries.
