    Cannot support this statement enough

    A good example of how to use internal historians brilliantly well but it takes years of practice and trust to produce historically-informed policy so well. Need to develop the habit of thinking historically, not just parachute historians in and expect results overnight

    Great work by , John and Andrew!

    Something recognizably and consciously “grand strategic” emerges in British foreign policy debates from the late 19th C. But certain grand-strategic assumptions were present even earlier. Or so John Bew, Andrew Ehrhardt and I argue in Out now!
