Must mean we can all break their rules....unless they have some kind of double standard thing going on.
-
The catch is that you have to be famous enough for your hateful content to help them drive web traffic and sell advertising. That’s the one and only reason Trump is still allowed within 100 feet of Twitter
-
Nope. David Simon
@AoDespair is a MacArthur genius award recipient. His assessment of his banning is cogent (and entertaining):https://davidsimon.com/fare-the-well-scrotelicks/ … -
Not sure what you’re “nope”ing, but compare
@AoDespair’s follower count to Alex Jones or Trump. Pretty clear which of these are most valuable to Twitter as a company -
I'd classify Simon as "famous"--John in addition to the MacArthur he has a shelf full of Emmys. I'd suggest that maybe it's not just " fame" that protects one from banning, it's a particular political or ideological slant.
-
Congrats you completely missed the point. Did you stop reading at the word "famous?" There was more to that sentence.
-
I suppose. How 'bout them O's? (Said as a former resident of Charm City and a lifelong fan.)

Block promoted tweets until Twitter does what it should have done ages ago and permanently ban Jones.pic.twitter.com/vXMHqGwvL7

I mean, not many of us want to give up this blighted hellscape for some reason so we might as well use what little control we're given.
-
It’s the only place to connect with people who think like I do. I live in a backwater area in the South. No one here thinks about the world like me. Even family members have fully embraced the dark side because of Fox News and maybe vitamin deficiencies. It sucks.
-
Have you tried Tumblr? Lots of liberals on there and also Quora. They're different from Twitter, but I actually prefer both.
-
Thanks! I will check them out. I think I might even have a Tumblr from when the world was a better place and I could think about pleasant things, not being forced to battle evil in the form of brainwashed old people and inbred white supremacists. I miss that. Let’s bring it back.
-
Maybe you "think" too much.
-
It’s sad and kind of pathetic you think that’s even a thing. Someone has to make up for you people, because y’all have lost your minds and you’re trying to drag everyone down to your level.

So, can anyone violate your rules, now, or just people like Alex Jones?
-
And the president.
-
I sense a theme there...
-
Crazy white men that drive advertising dollars? Am I right?
