Update: Twitter spox tells me that Twitter has not deleted these tweets/content. Someone with access to the accounts has deleted them. Twitter is still reviewing the content.

Alex Jones said on his InfoWars program today that he was responsible for deleting the tweets included in our story. He said "just to take the super high road" he told his staff to "delete it."

I need a translator for this comment. Can anybody understand this?
-
"Something, something, something, SPACE FORCE" , I think it was trying to say?
-
No, no - It says "Covfefe, something, something SPACE FORCE ADOPTIONS".

Extremely bad look for Twitter. Maybe he can explain himself on Tucker Carlson.

How many examples do you need? -
Examples of what? You can’t prove that the shooting occurred, Alex Jones can’t prove that it didn’t. He decided to stop pursuing Sandy Hook because he was hurting the families, not because he changed his mind.
-
Yes! You can! There are bodies, witnesses, scarred family members, etc. You need to be a special kind of lunatic to fall for the lies of this conspiracy theorist.
-
Where are the bodies ? You’ve seen them?
-
They are buried or cremated. What, you want to dig up dead little kids for your morbid curiosity? To see if it really happened? What the actual heck is wrong with people who think this is fake? We don’t live in a movie.

How to spot a fake, possibly Russian, account. Joined less than 2 weeks ago. Jingoistic flag banner Borderline racist user ID 200+ tweets, almost all retwets amplifying alt-right "news".

This is the perfect example of why Twitter can't manage the platform by itself. It needs to include users in the management. Right now, journalists are doing Twitter's job.
-
"...all of the videos that initially led the other tech companies to take action against Jones were in fact posted to Twitter by Jones or InfoWars. All were still live on Twitter as of the time this article was published." This is beyond infuriating.
-
Why do you want Alex Jones removed from Twitter?
-
Why don’t you? He’s responsible for the pain of so many families
-
I understand your perspective. However I am a free speech absolutist. I’m sure Jones’ family has been torn apart by media lies as well. He’s no stranger.
-
A free speech absolutist would know that there are consequences to free speech. Ie if a go into a biker bar shouting “Harley riders are c@nts” I’m gonna get my face kicked in. And the owner would probably ban me. Jones can say what he likes - these are the consequences.
-
Right, im not saying that Twitter doesn’t currently legally have the right to ban who they want. But they shouldn’t ban people baselessly because someone pressured them to.
-
I agree. They should not cave to pressure. They SHOULD ban the guy for using their platform to harass parents of murdered children. Remember decency?
