Just to clarify, gender is obviously complex and mutable so it’s more what gender were you perceived as by the person getting you in trouble

the vast majority of these are like 'wtf was wrong with your teacher/boss' but once in a while i'm like 'wtf was wrong with YOU'

Female - I stabbed a girl sat next to me in the hand with a pencil, the nib snapped off in her skin... I was 10. I didn't get told off for that but for reading books that were "too old" for me, same class, same year.

Male - colouring in the sea on a map with a dark grey-blue (pretty realistic I thought) and the teacher later reported that I’d used bright red 🤷‍♂️

Female - one boss told me off because I was doing tasks without a delay, apparently that was wrong because then people might have thought we have nothing to do. - my latest boss didn't like me because EVERYONE ELSE DID. Somehow that bothered him.

Female. Knowing what negative numbers were in first grade and insisting it wasn't right to say that you "can't" subtract 3 from 2. But I guess that just falls under "speaking out of turn" and "crying in class," both of which were pretty common for me that year.

Female. In 1981 we had blizzard in Philadelphia. I still made it to my assignment, auditing a cold warehouse. I got called out for wearing pants. It was “unprofessional.” As he was telling me this, I noticed that my male supervisor was wearing navy blue patent leather boots.
