Never forget that on my first international flight to Australia in 2012, I was not only the only person of color on my flight, wouldn't you know it, I was randomly screened and pulled out of line in front of everyone. Embarrassing, pointless, and silly all at once.

Ugh, this shit makes me so angry. My best friend was telling me that he was meeting friends at a book store, he had a bag with them, and everyone was weird, including his "friends". He said one of them even asked him to leave, because "his bag was suspicious". Fuck those guys.

I'm essentially white and british and was 6 when this happened and people in the UK didn't stop jokingly and very not jokingly calling my mum, my brother and I terrorists until like 2014.
