There must also be something to it, that it just feels impossible to make safe based on what we know of both the virus and how small kids behave. But admitting that means acknowledging that a lot of the other stuff isn't really that safe either.

I was just texting my friend about going in on a nanny share for the summer for our kids. Today we got an email from our preschool but they’re making plans to continue with distance-learning in the fall. No. Just, no. If there’s no school in the fall I’m dropping out of “society”

And moms are relegated to dealing with the shit feelings of it in private on what’s app groups or tweeting to people who agree about the imbalance of it again and again and we just keep repeating ourselves.

This is actually me! I have a WhatsApp group of fellow moms and this is at least a third of what we talk about!
