I don't get this attitude towards speculation. A healthy speculative market is needed for capital allocation, price-setting, and liquidity needed for any healthy economy
"Coin nihilism" - (n). Ex: Alice & Carol don't care about the utility of a coin or how it works, they just want to speculate on number goes up. Bob thinks that only his special coin is ideologically pure & that's what matters. He is hospitalized as a one-coiner.

If you think that's a waste of money, that's dumb, and even so, who cares what other people do with their money? It just means the reward is higher for people who are actually going out and building things.

The only reason someone would have this attitude is that a) people are making money speculating, b) people are making money building things the market wants and c) you are doing neither
