    The Govt is confident in 's robust and well-rehearsed process to ensure continuity of supply when energy companies fail. It's a difficult time for the energy market, due to a global price rise in gas, which is hitting many countries. Customers will remain our priority.

    Our priority is to make sure customers of companies that are closing are moved over to a supplier that can look after them now and over the winter. We have well-rehearsed plans. We will be speaking to smaller energy suppliers alongside / later today:

    Overnight, the Government and confirmed the Energy Price Cap will remain in place to help protect customers from rising global gas prices. Our priority is to protect the consumer - and the cap protects consumers. It's our safety net. (1/4)

    If your energy supplier goes out of business, you'll still have gas and electricity. Don't switch tariff or supplier until Ofgem have moved you to a new supplier. Our advice can help ⤵️
