Honest question: what is the
@OfficialSPGB plan for people who decline to participate? Or those who insist that some piece of property is theirs alone? -
Socialism cannot exist until a clear majority actually want and support it. Therefore, when socialism replaces capitalism, the vast majority of people will be contributing. Any tiny minority who may childishly refuse to contribute would be irrelevant.

So what kind of government would you say Venezuela or Cuba have? Also, can you point to a real world example of true Socialism?
-
Venezuela and Cuba have profit-driven economies under leftist/state control. They have ruling classes who own the resources; production for sale and profit; markets; money; taxes etc. Just like America. Venezuela and Cuba have capitalism with state bosses instead of private ones.

I guess if everyone believes Venezuala is socialist then it is. It may have taken on a new meaning (perhaps a slightly more realistic meaning) but it is now considered by the wider population to be 'the so called' Socialism.

Socialism has a specific fundamental definition: a class-free society with production purely to meet needs. If a country has a ruling elite, or goods are being produced for sale and profit, then that country categorically will not have socialism. There is no getting around this.
