Imagine telling vaccinated people they shouldn’t hang out this summer with a straight face.

Obviously wear masks and social distance in public, don’t hang out with unvaccinated people who have a higher risk of complications. But like..........vaccinated people are basically safe to hang out together. Massless. Even indoors. So why are people suggesting they shouldn’t?

I thought we were waiting for more data on asymptomatic transmission (though it looks sweet rn)? Why are all replies acting like caution is some exclusively lib scolding power trip? What did I miss?

but why would that be a concern for vaccinated people hanging out with each other assuming they're taking all other precautions in public/around high-risk unvaccinated individuals?

That’s fine. But it is safe for people who are vaccinated to be indoors together. My frustration isn’t with people’s personal preferences not to do that, but with people using their fear and discomfort to distort facts and fear monger.

People’s attitudes will slowly change, it might just take time. Right now some still have their defense mechanisms in place that they built up over the past year. A vaccine won’t immediately undo all those. Honestly not so different from feeling safe again after trauma

Theyre free to feel however they want but my issue is when people’s feelings are used to fear-monger and peddle inaccuracies
