Choosing a license 101: I don't want anybody to actually use it: GPL. I care about patents: Apache. I want my project to be used: MIT

LGPL is mostly fine in my books. It causes inconveniences, for reasons not exactly clear to me. GPL'ed software, on the other hand, is perfectly fine. It's one of the few things at which the the GPL license makes perfect sense.
LGPL is a mess because it references technical concepts like static vs dynamic linking that have no clear internationally established meaning in jurisprudence.
Some people even use it for hardware IP and I don't have the slightest idea what the juristic intend is there.

Yes. I’ve seen LGPLed header file libraries and front end Javascript libs.
