Wow. It probably would help take some load off (and help your users) if you recruited someone with *less* experience triage questions like that, so they'd actually get answered.

by which I mean - that looks like "make is using /bin/sh so it doesn't do ~ expansion" and newbies basically never predict that - or they meant ~/abc... instead of ~abc... your bug queue is the wrong place for that (at least in this form.) Maybe emphasize the reddit submore...
