Tonight ist "earth hour", that yearly event where people turn off their electric lights for an hour. Most stupid thing ever imo. Causes load changes on the grid, likely increasing overall carbon footprint, and sends the false message that saving energy means sitting in the dark.
Not that I think that sitting in the dark is a bad thing. Why do you think I am that pale? :) But wanna save the planet? Use LED lights, have good thermal insulation, switch to an electricity provider that uses primarily renewable energy, and use public transportation.
